I know this "bug".
The problem is that the Tapatalk doesn't run all standard MyBB hooks.
In effect, plugin can't do, what it should do.

Thanks for the quick reply.

OK, so I can't run the plugin, because I've got too many users who use Tapatalk constantly.

Thanks again for letting me know, all the best.
Having a bit of an issue since I updated from 2.0 to 2.8

I am running MyBB 1.6.4 and been using the plugin since version 1.3

I uninstalled all the old plugins before installing the new one but for some reason adding <!-- UNREADPOSTS_LINK --> to the header_welcomeblock_member isn't working. Nothing is showing up.

The plugin seems to be working as if I run a forum url/search.php?action=unreads it does work.

If there is something you need me to test just ask. At the moment I am unsure where to even look on why this isn't working.

EDIT#

Thought I would just say. I did try going back to version 2.0, but even that version isn't working anymore.

This plugin doesn't support MyBB lower than 1.6.5
Please update your board.

Ah that would be why then.

Can I still get the older version of the addon for 1.6.4? Updating the forum isn't really an option. Made to many changes to it that will break if I update it.
If you find older version yes but... you really should update MyBB.
You can read on MyBB blog what is the risk.
Have you got a link to a version that will work in 1.6.4?

I was just going to hold off until 1.8 is out until I update. Honestly I will need to redo the whole forum if I update. I tried updating it locally and it pretty much broke everything. So I am just holding off now until the next big update to MyBB comes out.
How could updating minor versions break everything? Either you're exaggerating or there is something very wrong with your site.
1.6.5 was a major change though - wasn't that the one where all the core files were changed as well? if there are a lot of direct edits to core files and insufficient documentation then that could be quite a horror to upgrade.
Ah fair enough. There's a reason you shouldn't edit core files so severely haha
