What is this pop and imap stuff you are speaking of?

I prefer imap

IMAP: Allows me to do stuff on my iPhone and it's reflected on every other IMAP-compatible device I have set up, ie. read an email on iPhone then put it in a different folder, and bam it goes there on my computer too.

POP: None of the above.

I prefer snap myself but I guess it's just personal preference.
