could've sworn i left a message with this. this is my windows gaming machine, thst currently has w7 and ubuntu 8.4.4 ubuntu died on it, after i added an msi 280. i wi be adding a new copy of w7 ( regristry dead) and hopefuly mandriva or pinguy os.

What's the theme you're using Solidus? I'm currently pimping out my ArchLinux install, but I'm not liking the windows and stuff. That light grey / green combination looks quite nice.
It's just something I made myself with the LXDE theme editor.
Download 'obconf' and 'lxappearance' using Pacman, it's easy to do yourself. When you have Obconf, find Nxpro, then customize colours yourself with lxappearance.
I just updated mine btw, panel on show this time.

Using Mint-X icons, they look great on a light grey panel, just need to change app icons.
