Just about gotten everything how I want it on my new install. I'm pretty happy with it to be honest. I still have some tweeking to do to the Cinnamon theme, but other than that I'm almost done.
Oh, and I claim best use of Conky out of the last few posts at least, if not the whole thread (I haven't checked it all)

Conky war? I reckon I've still got some more in my system... and no using anything anybody else has made! This has to be fair...
Fair's fair. I'll have a crack at it tomorrow and see what I come up with
BTW, has anybody noticed that Chromium has become super memory hungry lately? I have 8 Chromium processes running for two tabs right now and each of those is at the top of top when sorted using Shift + m.
Yeah, here's what I'm seeing:

That's just the one tab too.
EDIT: Just closed Chromium to see what effect it would have. It's using 200MB for a single tab. Time to look at something a bit lighter I think.
Yeah, it doesn't really bother me too much since I have more than enough resources anyway (the conky on my other screenshot kinda shows what I mean...), but it's still not good. Especially for people who haven't got as powerful systems.
I have a fairly modest laptop so I try to make the most of my resources. It's also killing my battery life and fan running that many processes.
Yeah, being a desktop mine has pretty decent air flow so stays cool much easier, and obviously batterys life isn't a problem for me either.
I'd hate to see that running on my laptop though...
