I will suggest you to check the shoutbox css file is saved or not.
Better uninstall and reinstall the plugin and css should show itself.

Which plugin are you using for icons?
I believe once you update the plugin, you need to add the icons code in forumbit template.

I can confirm this issue. With build #10 (on a fresh install) font awesome don't work. I don't see the icons
