Google SEO provide those kind of friendly urls, but a core feature for mybb 2.0 will be great, I like that style as well.

Since the wiki has been neglected for some time, I've updated the page on 2.0. Feel free to correct any mistakes as well as keep that page up to date with this thread and future blog posts.
