1.2.10 will be a bug fix (or security fix [or both]) to the 1.2 series. 1.4 will be the next major MyBB release.
Although I have no say in when versions are released, I would say that 1.2.10 would be released before 1.4

Yup, most likely IMO.

This had better not turn into a huge anticlimax and the only thing that's changed is the logo or something.
