I'd like the beta testing to be at least 1 month though. The more testing, the stabler the final product is

I think a period of 2 weeks would be fine. Look at how fast WordPress is going. I've been there for the betas since the start of 2.3

How much do you see being changed every 3 months? Not that much. Atleast not compared to what MyBB 1.4 will have. Just quadruple what WP's releases have an you get MyBB 1.4's amount of releases.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but once Beta 1.2 came out, these public forums were upgraded to the beta, correct? Or did Chris upgrade them a few weeks into the beta? Or am I just imagining things? :p

After we declare the release "stable enough" (that is, if no major issues are found), these forums will be upgraded.

Yes, it's true.

Ive looked about 1.4 in the WIKI, and im just eagerly awaiting the release.

Personally, if I had the money I'd buy either IPB/VB, but to be honest. Once 1.4 is released I believe that its not going to be far off them anyway.

MyBB IS! the best open source bulletin board. Ive been keeping up to date with other boards, especially PHPBB3. I hate PHPBB3, its horrible. And the module/plugin system is horrible.

MyBB is the way forward for everyone

Hmm, Sounds like 1.4 is going to be an exciting release; can't wait to see Mybb's progress.
