Is it possible to do so, to be able to perform the upload of different types of files, not just the files with the extensions jpg and others. For example, to be able to upload a file .doc or .mp3. What do I need to change in the code files, such as file ezgallery.php ?

Not easily no. Not really meant o be a download system.
So i ran in to an issue i installed ezgallery and it all went fine i upload a photo and it doesnt display a thumbnail in the category and i click to see comments and it doesnt display the image in the comment section either all paths are correct im not sure what i may have done wrong
What paths are you using?
Make sure the gallery folder is writable as well.
Great plugin! Love it. Is there way to embed the last 5 uploads on the forum main view? Ideally, above the first category. Or is that a Pro feature? I couldn't figure ti out.

Not a built in feature for either but you can code it to do that function
Any care to shared a demo or working example of this plugin working with 1.8? Thank you.
