You could take a look at AutoMedia 4.2.1. It has an updated library and settings for link previews, and tries to get preview data for any posted link.

Thanks for the new version. I see this version fixes the Firefox problem.

I'm sorry but the installation description in the first post was outdated. It's fixed now.
In AutoMedia v. 4.* there is no automedia module in "Tools & Maintenance" anymore.

Reapplying the template edits is working for me wiithout any problems. The link and the function itself also weren't changed recently. (Furthermore, it's only needed as a fall back if you add or import a new theme and the templates are not modified automatically)
Maybe it's your server settings...mod_security etc.?

mod_security is disabled. this error appeared when I tried to open link from plugin php file "admin/index.php?module=tools-automedia"

So now it's impossible to disable certain services globally? For example, I want automedia to work only with youtube and vimeo on my forum.


EDIT: probably I used this link wrong, for some reason I thought that it should be used in admin/index.php.... URL,
but now I cannot see why I thought so. so sorry, no errors, just wrong link usage.

But the question is still open, is there any way to disable certain automedia services, may be with some code changes in plugin php files?

Unfortunately not at the moment. It was planned for version 4.2, but it has to be completely rewritten and has therefore been postponed to version 4.3.
Currently you can only use the settings "Do not use any external service - use internal embed library" and "No link preview" to have a limited number of services for automatic embedding.

Found issue with this plugin and quick edit, it's impossible to use quick edit with the same post second time after you save/cancel previous quick edit, after uninstalling this mod the issue gone away. This is described better here with responsible for this code from automedia.js, which brake multiply quick edit functionality (if commenting this code quick edit is working fine too) —

Hi im starting to get undefined messages within attachments and url, im using the plugin from Doyle site as it's updated and once i deactivate and uninstall plugin;l problem is gone? Also  this is been working fine for so long until recently and im also getting errors relating in php.ini 7.4 php. Any solutions?

pornhub clips occupy a large portion of the screen and are on top of many posting options. Is there a way to fix this?
