probably time of your server is incorrect.
try increase time of token expiration time in configuration of plugin in acp. Or contact your host and say to fix time of server.

Updated the expiration to 30 mins, what would the time need to be?

i can't made anything about error above... not related with this plugin.
if you not fix all javascript error, this plugin not will work.
you can try test with default theme of mybb 1.8 because in several case problem with javascript error is related with theme.

This is problem with MyBB. Some here is tutorial how to fix it. Just read last few sites.
Or check first post, maybe there is tutorial.
