Everytime i'm start internet browser, especially and in this situation is Opera 11 Official. I'm always in guest position. I mean, i was always logged out when i shutdown my Opera browser. (I turned on clear cache everytime i exited - not cookies. But in other sites, when i exited, i didn't need to re-login, for example: this site
http://community.mybb.com) How could i fixed this ??? Did it come from my theme ?
Your theme doesn't have the checkbox in the header to remember your login details for future visits.
Yes, i knew it but how to solve it ? MyBBSource.com has no checked box but i'm still there everytime i've logged to, except my site
Ok. Here is the problem:
First, my forum was installed at
http://www.omega-dev.net
Everything worked just fine. Then, I decided to create a homepage. So I moved all my forum files to
http://www.omega-dev.net/forums and then created my homepage at
http://www.omega-dev.net (which is just a html file and an images folder).
I followed the advice given here:
http://community.mybb.com/thread-86830.html and I changed the settings to:
Cookie Domain: .omega-dev.net
Cookie Path: /forums/
And, technically, that should do it.
However, apparently, no one can log out. They click the log out button and are redirected to the index (and still logged in). We assume we can't log in either.
Therefore, I came to this topic, and followed all your instructions.
- Cookie Domain and Path were set on the ACP as said above.
- I see the source code of any page of my site, and the cookie settings are the ones I set.
- My browser accepts cookies, and I have cleared the cache as well.
- .inc/settings.php file has the correct Cookie Domain and Path settings.
- I have downloaded ./inc/settings.php and deleted the one in my server, allowing MyBB to regenerate a new one. This new copy has the cookie settings I set. Nothing changed.
- .inc/settings.php CHMOD permission set to 666 through FileZilla.
- Tested with other browsers as well.
- All my users seem to be experiencing the same.
My host is paid GoDaddy, but quite honestly, I doubt that is the problem here.

EDIT: Apparently some users can log in and out now. But I can't yet. How weird, is it a matter of time? I shall wait for tomorrow.
Clear your browser cookies and it should work fine.
I clear my cookies, that logs me out. Then, I log in. However, I still can't log out.
And it seems like just very few users are fine, but everyone else not..
PM me login details for your account. The settings are correct and as some people can login, this sounds like something in your browser.
Hello same problem here. I got a forum set up on a test box located in my lan
all cookie settings are correct and i can't log in. The installation is brand new with
the latest version. I can't login with a test user i created and admin.
The thing is that the issue does not appear with firefox(i can log in just nice)
but appears on chromium and my android phone. Therefore i could attribute it
to webkit browsers?
Any suggestions?
