Please help me Matt. I don't know how and where to do it! I am an amature and my students claim some difficulties entering the forum. I don't know where "./inc/settings.php" is. thanks in advance

^ @ Ali, settings.php file exists in inc folder of your MyBB files server (log into files server through web host control panel or ftp)

I can't reach my ACP > Configuration > General Configuration
when I entry I will enter to home of ACP click on every thing I will kick out

and I made changing in setting.php in inc folder but nothing changed

Hello all,

I have a problem where a member who's account I set up manually can not log in. He was having problems with his invitation code (invitation management plugin) so I tried to set it up for him. Now when he tries to enter it tells him he's logged in but when he tries to post, it won't let him and calls him "guest". I do not have guest posting activated. I have managed to login to his account myself so it is active. Asked him to clear his cookies but was wondering if it might be anything else.

Any thoughts?

I've the same logging in / out Problem on my board. As a User u can log in (the board tells you this) but when it redirects you are a guest agein.

In the Admin - Cp... when I log in and make a klick, it tells me to login again... I followed everything in the first post, checked my cookies, deletes the settings.php, cleaned my cache and deleted my cookies. Nothing seems to help, maybe you guys can.

Hello,

when i try to log into my ACP i enter my login and try to log in and it takes me right back to the login screen and will not let me login. I have tried changing the cookie settings as described in the OP and that did not work. I have cleared my cache and cookies and it still did not work and chrome is set to accept cookies. I am unsure what else to try as nothing from the OP worked.

I have done everything re. the first post.

My cookie settings are:

$settings['cookiepath'] = "/forums/";
$settings['cookieprefix'] = "";

Whats happening is I go to login, the page reloads as you would expect and doesn't show me as logged in. If I refresh the page, it will show me logged in. The same happens when I try to logout, I'll click on Logout, the page reloads as expected then it still shows me logged in. If I refresh the page, it will show me logged out. I have cleared my browser cache and cookies repeatedly without success.

I made a copy of these Forums where I admin - https://www.linuxdistrocommunity.com/forums/ uploaded them to https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/ and restored the database successfully through phpmyadmin. Can anyone see what has gone wrong? I am happy to provide the experts here with any information they may need.

EDIT: If it helps, the only way it will behave normally is if I use Internet Explorer. The strange behavior listed above happens on Firefox and Chrome. Not sure if that makes a difference.

in december i entered my forum to delete all those spam messages and users, then closed it because i didn't need it then (now i do) but i guess i deleted too much...
i'm trying to enter my forum again (that is empty, i just entered some forums inside without any threads...) and it seems the main user does not exists anymore.

Forget my last request for support, this thread seems dead in terms of support since around mid January, we're moving to SMF. Thanks all the same.

so i got the same problem and can't fix it anyway
doing everything stap by stap by yout 1 post but users stil after activation can't easily login and have to login once again
this is very bad 'cause i thought i fixxed it

second problem is moving theme from 1 forum to another, clickig move i simply don't see any variants where to move!

please help me , your forum plugin is best for my site, i don't want to change it to fully phpbb but i thinking that it would be only one way of solving problem
