Major Cookie problem.

I have uninstalled and re-installed MyBB 1.4.11 so many times now I cannot see straight.

My cookie domain issues have to deal with the fact that I am moving one forum away from my current host, and into a new hosting account.

I am trying to run both forums simo, meaning I am setting up the new forum, importing messages, etc. want to be sure everything is fine before canceling the old host provider.

Old forum hosting is still active,
cookie domain shown: .iqnexus.ulmb.com

new host provider should have it's cookie domain set to: .iqnexus.org
but even upon attempted saves, this cookie domain after several minuests keeps going back to the old forum cookie domain name (i.e. iqnexus.ulmb.com)

Even if I try to switch this back via the admin panel, etc. the cookie domain keeps reverting back to the old forum: e.g. .iqnexus.ulmb.com


Any help would be appreciated.

So what is the actual new forum domain now?? When I go to iqnexus.org and click the forum link, it takes me to iqnexus.ulmb.com/myBB/, which is a different domain completely...

I think I have this fixed now, or so it seems.

1). I had to edit the settings.php,
I changed the cookie domain from the old URL Root to the new URL root.

2). Logging in to the ACP, I then edited the the cookie domain name there as well to match.

Now, so far the system is acting like it is supposed to, it has been several hours, hopefully the system will not revert back.

I was developing the new one, in parallel to the old one. Now that the new URL to MyBB is functioning as it should I will delete the old iqnexus.ulmb.com/myBB/ files.

I have dumped Cache/Cookies.
I have deleted the settings.php file and tried to let it regenerate, it did not.
I uploaded a fresh copy of settings.php
My Cookie Settings are correct (.demo.customybb.net and /)

It was fine a few weeks ago as well.

Try just demo.customybb.net or .customybb.net

Putting .customybb.net did the trick, thanks Matt.

Hi, I've just intalled mybb, but when I go to /admin/ and try to click in any option of the side bar or inside the "tab" I've selected, it sends me to the index, i've tried everything but doesn't work about , could you please help me? my domain

Can you login to the normal part of your forum?

Yes, I could, but in the admin area I cant do anything

See the first post in this topic because you probably have a bad set of cookies. Make sure cookiedomain, cookiepath and bburl are correct in your setting.php in the database.
