Hello, I have also been using the Inferno Shoutbox since today and have created a German language file. Unfortunately the shoutbox only works for a short time and then gives this error message: Loading.... and stops at this point??

I use the inferno shoutbox 1.3.1 in my forum and for a week now, it stopped working for firefox users. It just shows "Loading..."
We use MyBB 1.8.23
Thing is, I had a tech admin that set this all up years ago and I don't quite know what to do here, since he's absent now.
Would someone be so kind to help me with this or guide me through fixing it? I'd greatly appreciate your help.

You can try the new version i share due this one was outdated but i leave a version with several code changes, but works into mybb 1.8.38 and php 8+ without issues related
I am using the updated version of this shoutbox and while I do appreciate the fact that it doesn't show errors like the older version did, I do miss the post reply notification when someone has replied to a thread.
On my forum, the shoutbox serves 2 purposes.. a live chat for those that are online and as a bulletin board for what is happening on the forum. This helped prevent the issue of people posting only in the shoutbox rather than the forum, which is a common issue with them.
Using this plugin this way helped me integrate the community and helped with boosting activity as well.. so on my forum, not only did the box post the link to the new topic created, it also posted the link to any replies to the topics in certain areas as well.
That being said, I'd like to ask that this feature be reinstated, so that, this newer version will be as fully functional as its predecessor was.
Yes that would be added in next version and i will make small changes and some other that i had make already to make a cleanup and better for use.
But i need time to make tests to be sure it is working fine.

since this chat I find it remarkable, if suggestions are allowed I would like to make one. It would be nice to give the possibility like to certain groups to read the chat but to write to have a certain amount of posts in the forum. If I am not mistaken at the moment there is no such middle ground. However, I renew my heartfelt congratulations for the work done.

However, I noticed that set 50 users even with less than 50 posts can see the chat.

User mention (tag) is displayed only on the archive page but not on the main chat page.
Yes for sure i will add those two features and i will review mentions part due it is not visible without mention plugin, it is weird if it works into archive mode, i am not sure due i had added just compatibility with my mentions plugin, but i will take care off that to try to achieve that for the inferno plugin aswell as:
1.- Reply to post not just threads.
2.- Min. Amount to use shoutbox.
3.- Mentions into shoutbox to see it just i will not add another features due it would be complicated ( And for this one i really need to see if it really works fine or just add some sort of things that replaces mentions i am not sure for now on this one).
