This error is due to mod sec rules of your host. You need to contact your host and give them the error and exact time it happened and possibly tell them how to reproduce it so they can see which mod sec rule is being triggered and then whitelist it for you.
Hello, when I install this my index decreases in size to make room for the sideboxes, but for some reason my board stats also decrease in size.

I am iust wondering (idk if this is supposed to happen) is there anyway to keep the board stats at the usual size? (The width of the forum.)
Sure.

Just go to ACP -> Configuration -> Advanced Sidebox -> Manage Scripts[tab] and click on the index script (to edit it)

Then change Footer Search Text from:

{$footer}

to

{$boardstats}

Hi Wildcard,

Regarding the top poster box I have some suggestions...

*Set number* of posters. Example, top 3 posters / of the week / of the day etc..

And more important, *ignore certain user groups*. Otherwise Mods and Forum sponsors will end up as top every time.

What do you think?
Sounds reasonable to me. I'm also looking at a way to make the query faster. Labrocca posted some code on the MyBB github that looks promising.
