It mostly comes down to it being distracting. I suppose it's meant to catch a guests eye since it's a call to action to join the forum, but I think it can be toned down a little and still be effective.

I think it is too much detail text in the header - I would keep the header at site name and purpose (welcome to harajuju - a japanese fashion community) as you have it now and take out the extra text, keeping just build your fashion future now.

Then on the join now I guess that takes you to the registration page. Don't you cover a lot of that extra header text on the registration page? Maybe change that to learn more instead of Join Now - (or Read Inside or something as it is going for a magazine look) - and then it takes you to the reg page with the information and if it sounds good they can join.

Been working on a rebranding of WD, among other things for the site. Would like some feedback on the logo, and please ignore the fact that there is no "the net" in it.

Probably just the gradient, but anyways, too similar IMO...

Is "DESIGN" darker that "WE"? If so, it is barely noticeable.

Lol yeah looks like purely the color to me, which still isn't even the same shade. xP That image had no bearing when designing the logo, which was originally designed with dark text on a light background. The glow was only added to make the text drop shadow more noticeable. (Omar be witchhuntin against a fellow witchhunter)

But yeah, slightly made it darker, just an aesthetic touch. Any opinion on the logo?

I like the logo but I'm not crazy about the logotype. The difference between "we" and "design" needs to be clearer.

I tried it darker, tbh it feels a little too grey to me, so I'll probably make it more "blue" when it goes into the design. I switched some colors around to make it a little more consistent.
