Thanks any resolution on the problem yet. could it be conflicting js files as i copied myalerts and myalerts.prototype.

No resolution found yet. The JS shouldn't cause an issue. Can you check the mybb_alerts table and see if there are any entries in it at all for the likes?

no worries hope this is resolved soon so i can get my update done on the forum.
Do you think that maybe g33ks plugin is interfering with it some how.

Are you by any chance using a wysiwyg editor? Had two people complaining about this and both were using SCEditor (I think that's it's name?).

But don't show alert (quote post)????
