Trying to implement this script by Shade:

I have one question related to those who Opt-out from receiving alerts... after the task is processed they will have again all alerts active despite they don't want them?
Is there anyway to use this script only in new members?

I'm sorry if you already talked about this, I can't find it.

It will set every alert to on, no matter what unfortunately. The MyAlerts core already handles new registrations so they automatically have alerts enabled (or, at least, it should).

I just tested on my site and, by default, they have alerts disabled
Any idea why? I'm missing something?

Just reinstalled both latest versions and remains the same.

Same problem here, thats why i asked

Only alert that is on by default is mentionme

Odd. I'll have to double check the core. It used to work. Could be that an update broke it.

As far I am concerned the current core works fine for new registrations.

Yeah I just checked with a fresh sign up, and it IS turned ON.

Ok, I will uninstall and reinstall again, guess it's something I've done incorrectly.

Nothing, it is still disabled for new registrations. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, my steps:

I manually deleted every file related to Myalerts that was already there.
Downloaded from Github latest release https://github.com/euantor/MyAlerts/archive/current.zip (I already have PluginLibrary 11)
Duplicate inc/language/english folder and files + rename to "espanol" (so I have two language folders: /english and /espanol)
Upload everything to root
Install and activate plugin
Deleted extra code at headerinclude: http://community.mybb.com/thread-139718-...pid1005650
Register a new user
Look at the new user Alert Settings:



Is there anything I'm doing wrong? The alerts system works perfectly when alerts are enable using http://community.mybb.com/thread-127444-...#pid987832 but new registrations are not enabled by default.

At the moment they are not on by default, you are not doing anything wrong.
